Toni Braxton tells us about the first time she got high…a week before writing her smash hit “You’re Making Me High”.

“A week before [writing the song with Babyface and Bryce Wilson], I was introduced to marijuana, and I got high for the first time,” Braxton confesses in this VH1 exclusive clip. “In the bridge, I’m singing ‘I want to feel your heart and soul inside of me / Let’s make a deal you roll, I lick / And we can go flying into ecstasy’, I was talking about [smoking a joint].”

Just watched Nicole Scherzingers behind the music and now I can’t stop crying. I had so much admiration for her before and it’s just like quadrupled whilst i was watching that. I have so much respect for her it’s unreal. It must take so much courage to share a story like that, knowing that there’s a lot of nasty horrible people out there who’d probably judge her and make some snidy comments, like people do.
