Sara Bareilles: When you were little, did you ever pretend to be an animal? Which animal and why did you like it? I always acted like a horse - sue me.

Lisa Ling: Ok, did I ever pretend to be an animal? No, I pretended to be a lawyer. [Laughs] I know, isn’t that nerdy? That’s so Asian of me, isn’t it? I think I - even though I don’t like cats - I dressed up as a cat as a kid and I think I have some cat-like qualities. Rawr. That’s what I’ve been told anyway.
